Art is a journey into the most unknown thing of all - oneself. Nobody knows his own frontiers… I don’t think I’d ever want to take a road if I knew where it led.

Autumn Day

Lord: it is time. The summer was immense.
Lay your shadow on the sundials
and let loose the wind in the fields.

Bid the last fruits to be full;
give them another two more southerly days,
press them to ripeness, and chase
the last sweetness into the heavy wine.

Whoever has no house now will not build one
anymore.
Whoever is alone now will remain so for a long
time,
will stay up, read, write long letters,
and wander the avenues, up and down,
restlessly, while the leaves are blowing.

La nuit remue (extrait) - Henri Michaux

Ma vie,

Tu t’en vas sans moi, ma vie.

Tu roules.

Tu me désertes ainsi.

La graine du chagrin ;
La douleur parfait sa perle
Toute une vie
Sous les vagues.

Poem 35

In your light
I learn how to love.
In your beauty, how to make poems.
You dance inside my chest,
where no one sees you,
but sometimes I do,
and that sight
becomes this art.

Rumi

    So, in me, come flinging
Forms, flames, and the flakes of flames.
Such a deep silence surrounds me, that I think I hear moonbeams striking on the windows.
