Three years after he moved to Paris and studied with Matisse. Later he studied music and dancing and composed melodies for his brother, Overture Nermans poems. Overture also wrote the songs for Ernst Rolf, something he did at least as well as being head of the Swedish Communist Party. Einar Nerman is best known for being the man behind the image on Solstickan matchboxes and his drawings of Greta Garbo.
