One of the Horses from the Chariot of Selene (The Moon) sinking in the waters of Okeanos, exhausted by its journey across the heavens. From the east pediment of the Parthenon. It is generally agreed that the pedimental figures were the last of the sculptures of the Parthenon to be carved. The statues are from the 5th century BC.
