Jun Takegoshi

Born in 1948 in Terai. Graduated from the Kanazawa College of Art. Chief at the pottery and porcelain design department of Vocational School. After traveling abroad, started his career as a professional potter in 1973. Learned porcelain techniques from his father, Taizan III and Kitade Fujio. Accepted to the Nitten Exhibition for the first time in 1974. Since then, he has worked on Iroe Polychrome porcelain mainly by TATARA forming (assembling sheets of clay which are made by tapping clay lumps).
