Evening Snow at Asakusa; from the series Eight Views  of Edo; showing a group of women in the foreground,  in kimonos, robes, platformed shoes or geta, holding  parasols against the falling snow, the two on the left  in deep conversation. In the background heavy snow  is falling onto a wide town street, with the road, trees,  the rooves of large & small buildings and the parasols  of people covered in snow. In the canopy above in the foreground, are two swastika medallions, with panels  of japanese text on the left & right, all in black, gold &  white.
