Sometimes there are series of days of heightened sensory perception. Each sense is finely in tune with every sight, sound, touch, smell, taste and thought.  The finest nuances are experienced in a preternatural way. Sometimes when this occurs it’s a little disconcerting as one (I) always think… well light bulbs burn brightest before they burn out.

atavist-animus: forestfires: The Dark Hedges Northern Ireland. Over 200 years of Natural Magnificence. This beautiful avenue of beech trees was planted by the Stuart family in the eighteenth century. It was intended as a compelling landscape feature to impress visitors as they approached the entrance to their home, Gracehill House.
