He started to draw and paint at an early age and was greatly influenced as a child by his visits to his Grandmother in Montréal who painted and sculpted and by his Great Grandfather who was a portrait and landscape painter and graphic designer. James has exhibited his work in the United States and in Toronto where he maintains a full time studio practice.
